Thank you for taking the time to read my story of living with our dogs by the Watchung Reservation. The version of the “story” you read is not “final”, but I put it up anyway never thinking anyone would see it. You are fortunate to have an RV and can travel around with your dogs. I can’t think of a better way to do it, having your beloved dogs there with you all the way. By all means, visit Watchung Reservation, an oasis in the NJ Suburbs, in the NY Metropolitan Area, located about 10 miles due west of Newark Airport. It is a preserved, ancient place worth seeing. Wonderful story! My husband and I have two beautiful Borzoi-one is 9 months and the other 7 years. We are heading out on the road in a large RV to tour North America. I cannot wait to visit the area you described. We have properties in the US and Mexico so our kids love to travel. Due to the economy we are lucky enough to retire very early and have fun.

Barbara is a true gem of a human being – always with a kind word and emotional support during hard times. She sent one of my Silkens a beautiful handmade bed pad to help him in his recovery when he broke his lower jaw in half. She is truly an earthbound angel.

You may not remember me. You interviewed me at Covance a few years ago. We struck up a conversation about Borzoi. I was looking through websites about Borzoi today and came across the Blyss Blog.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Opal. What a beauty she was!

I still look back, and I know I should not. The pain of that loss never ceases. I believed in Opal’s special love for me. It was a rare and perfect love, and it was true, it was real. I lost so much when she died so young. Most of the time, I am forward looking and I think I have moved on. Then, there are other times when I believe she is still with me, that her shadow is cast over me, and she is never far away.
